# DefaultLocale API

XO features (recommendation, product tagging) need a default locale to work. This default locale is set by tenant/environment.

## Set the default locale

Locale format is based on the Java locale format: \<language\_code>\_\<country\_code> The language code is based on the [ISO 639-1](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes) and the country code is defined by [ISO 3166](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_3166_country_codes)

## Get the default locale

This endpoint allows you to get the default locale.
